Tips & Tricks

My best advice is to try and establish a happy balance between your dogs diet and your dogs exercise requirements , which believe me is harder than one thinks. Bullmastiffs are such a funny breed in so many ways . Every day you learn something new from your dogs such as, their individual characteristics , their specific exercise needs & their specific diet requirement. These seem to always change because of so many different situations varying from type to type and from dog to dog.
When looking for a very special companion for the future always do your homework and check the current litters available , just dont buy the first adoreable puppy you lay your eyes on. Make sure you come along to several shows and see what Bullmastiffs you like yourself. Always approach people and ask questions , if you do not ask you will never learn.

Please d'ont be taken in by the guys who will tell you that they & they only have the Best Dogs and are in the breed for more years than they care to remember CHECK THEM OUT and you will quickly draw your own conclusions .Ask straight questions and expect straight answers , such as , Temperment , Hereditary Faults e.g Entropion , Hip - Dysplasia , O.C.D , then ask have they made up many Champions ? , & have they Bred any Champions MORE IMPORTANTLY , if they have you would expect they have a grasp on the breed itself . Try to ask as many questions as you can but please try to do all this after the exhibitor has shown their dog . Study the Breed Standard and try to compare dogs to it .
